Hellions

First Appearance: New Mutants 16 Members: Beef Bevatron Catseye Empath Firestar Jetstream Magma Roulette Tarot Thunderbird II White Queen History: The Hellions were young mutants who had enrolled in Emma Frost's Massachussetts Academy. They were trained in the use of their powers and used as a strike force by the Hellfire Club. Much of the time they came into conflict with the New Mutants, although the two teams settled into an almost friendly rivalry, rather than cold hatred. The first student to be "recruited" for the team was actually Kitty Pryde, but her parents only pulled her out of the Xavier's because they were being controlled by Frost. Kitty was eventually rescued and returned to the X-Men. The Hellions were killed by Trevor Fitzroy during an unsuccessful peace conference with the X-Men. Aside from those members listed below, there were at least ten other Hellions killed by Fitzroy, most likely new recruits, or mutants with powers not suited for combat. Their deaths so shook Emma Frost that she abandonded her evil ways and agreed to become the headmistress of Generation X. Back
