- The Story:
- We meet the Reavers and Gateway for the first time. The X-Men beat up and capture most of the Reavers, and a few escape. Roma says their hideout would make a neat base, and the X-dudes agree. She also gives them the Seige Perilous, so they can get rid of their enemies--like the captured Reavers--without killing them. It cosmically judges them, and sends them wherever they deserve to go. She also makes the X-Men invisible to magical, technological, and psionic detection, so they are only seen by eyesight. (This plot device is later ignored.)
